Moving home or relocating your office is always a stressful thing to do. Here at Roy Jacks Removals, we have a wealth of experience in removals and storage, so we have put together some helpful FAQs that will answer some common questions we get, as well as providing some useful tips.

When should I book my moving survey?The best time would be when you have found a buyer for your property. It would be ideal at this point to book a surveyor so we can provide you with a quote, ready for your move. The sooner this is completed the easier it will be to book the dates you require for your move.

Does a survey cost money?No, this service is free of charge, and you have no obligation to us once you have received our quote.

How long in advance can I book my move?The best answer is, the sooner the better. The busiest periods can be the summer, bank holidays or even the Christmas period. Our diary fills up very fast, so to avoid disappointment give us as much notice as possible once a date has been agreed with the chain and the solicitors.

Do I pack myself?We do offer a full pack service if you require it. This means you don't have to lift a finger. If not, you can pack yourself. Packing materials can be purchased through us if needed.

What do I do when I'm finished with the boxes?When the removal is complete, and all boxes are empty. We will come and collect the boxes and materials that were used on the job. Tip: slice the tape on the box and do not pull the tape off, this defaces the box and may affect the box from being reused in the future.
